For me. I’ll build the server. And have the main files that gets compiled by VS. I copy the pdb files and world, auth, worldserver.conf.dist, authserver.conf.dist and I create another folder elsewhere and put it all there and then add the rest of the files and data required to have a running server.

If anything has changed in authserver.conf.dist and or worldserver.conf.dist. I compare it to my running server. And I add the changes to my existing conf files.

makes sense, so if there are config changes it will just overwrite your entire existing config file? it does not merge right?

If there are some C++ changes by a Commit on Github, then you should pull that new source and recompile. It's okay to do this all couple of days i guess...

I edit my existing worldserver.conf and authserver.conf. But I check for changes in worldserver.conf.dist and authserver.conf.dist

Any changes in worldserver.conf.dist and authserver.conf.dist I add to worldserver.conf and authserver.conf

My way is more confusing I think.
