Debian follows a more conservative approach, releasing more stable versions with longer intervals (about every 2 years). Ubuntu, on the other hand, follows a tighter schedule, releasing a new version every six months, as well as LTS (Long Term Support) versions every two years with 5 years of support.

Both use the APT package management system, but Ubuntu often includes newer packages and software versions compared to stable releases of Debian.
