are there instructions on how to do that somewhere or is it a bit of a "if you have to ask how then you're not ready to do it" type scenario?

hmmm... I compiled (on linux) with tools but I don't seem to have the mapextractor.exe that the batch file is calling... is that normal or I have a borked something?
