You just gotta cast the create areatrigger spell and then script the areatrigger (like what should happen on create, when entering, when leaving etc)

Theres usually a spell doing the entire create at thing for you with SPELL_EFFECT_CREATE_AREATRIGGER

Duration is taken from spell iirc. Effect of the at have to be scripted (or you can use areatrigger_template_actions table if its not involving complex stuff). If it has to be scripted lookup AreaTriggerAI in code
