connecting to dbcs allows parser to pull data from DBCs, which allows ""better"" output, e.g. recalculations for item costs. Connecting to DB (without C) writes UPDATE queries and allows you to differ between data which is already in the db (and possibly needs update) and data which is new

So, I wonder if this is valid, my plan is to create sql queries with my parser, and I was planning on my proggy checking for a valid entry first, and if found generate an update query instead of an insert, or does connecting to dbc's and wpp do that already and I am overthinking ?
