I've been working under Linux for years and I know what the clean command means. And I can assure you, I don't do a "make clean" beforehand, I run exactly 2 commands in the build folder
cmake ../ -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/var/www/vhosts/wow -DCONF_DIR=/var/www/vhosts/wow/etc -DTOOLS=0 -DWITH_WARNINGS=1 -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=RelWithDebInfo
then....
make -j4
