when you compile again, only the files being changed will be compiled (unless it's a header, in that case the build is forced to compile completely)

TDB is just a full DB that gets released every few months so that you do not have to apply a thousand updates because they're already applied

damn, since I had trouble compiling it myself (was ok on Linux, but in Win, had issues), I pulled the Appveyor.
