Meat, after changing the realmlist table and data to try and have it reachable externally...I can't even get it to connect via lan. I don't even understand what is happening, I set address and local to both LAN IP, didn't work, LAN IP and 127.0.0.1, didn't work. I cant seem to reach the authentication server anymore for some reason....are you not supposed to edit the realmlist table and just edit the data portion?

Before I changed those entries to external ip/dns I was able to connect via lan just fine. Now with address/local address set to LAN IP it is hanging on connecting (not even getting to the realmlist)

the easiest way? copy the sql files from their path in the module source (`modules/sql/world/foo.sql`) to the appropriate dir under `data/sql` (`data/sql/custom/db_world/foo.sql`). Will need to rebuild the db import container (`docker compose build ac-db-import`) but that shouldnt take long

If you're using a tool like heidisql, you can import a file with the `Upload SQL File` Option in the `File` Menu.

I personally just use the mysql command line, `mysql -h IP_OF_SERVER -P DATABASE_PORT -u DATABASE_USER -p db_DATABASE_TO_EDIT < PATH_TO_SQL`

The manual process for docker is identical to the non-docker process.

if you feel you've completely busted it, you can always drop the table and execute the SQL (`data/sql/base/db_auth/realmlist.sql`) to re-create it

You should just be editing the data portion. In the address, you can also set DNS names.
mine looks like this

```console
$ mysql -h HOST -P PORT -uUSER -pPASSWORD acore_auth -e "select * from realmlist;"
+----+-------------+---------------+--------------+-----------------+------+------+------+----------+----------------------+------------+-----------+
| id | name | address | localAddress | localSubnetMask | port | icon | flag | timezone | allowedSecurityLevel | population | gamebuild |
+----+-------------+---------------+--------------+-----------------+------+------+------+----------+----------------------+------------+-----------+
| 1 | AzerothCore | x.x.x.x | 192.168.x.x | 255.255.252.0 | 8085 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 12340 |
+----+-------------+---------------+--------------+-----------------+------+------+------+----------+----------------------+------------+-----------+
```

the address is the tailscale IP for the physical server, and the local Address is the lan ip for the server. Note the local subnet mask, since my home network is a /22 (but most people probably wouldn't need to set this)

Yeah, default entries aren't the actual data in the database.

A little defeated, dropped the table, left the table default, edited data for the realm, very bizarre. I had it working yesterday on the lan, I guess as a last resort I'll reboot the host server. Do you have any idea what is going on when it is spinning up the docker containers and it creates the network? I'm assuming that is jsut some kind of LAN on the device so the containers can all communicate. I noticed in the diagram that michael crilly posted the auth server had its own IP
