Circling back on this. From what I determined it was caused by unix > windows path conversion. It didn't surface the last time I did this deployment, but regardless, it was an adventure getting it resolved.
My solution was to prefix the build command: MSYS_NO_PATHCONV=1 ./acore.sh docker build
