If I'm not mistaken, one option is `-DCMAKE_VERBOSE_MAKEFILE:BOOL=ON`

I think you would just pass “-e VERBOSE=1” to the command execution

VERBOSE=1 means it'll spam the hell out of your output when you run make

If VERBOSE=1 will output everything cmake does too, it doesn't hurt to use slickwilsons suggestion. As far as I know though it's only used for make.
