Sorry for the question, sometimes there are several sql files in the module source, are these managed automatically or do you need to execute them manually?

for example in mod-progression-system there are several sql, are they executed automatically based on the config file or do they have to be executed manually?

For the progression system they are executed automatically as long as you don't disable the auto-updater

Other modules are hit-or-miss. Some of them support the auto-updater but some don't. You'll notice when starting the server usually and then you'll know if you need to run them yourself or not.
