Did you run the script mentioned in that link? If so then you should be good - have you tried logging into your database using mariadb or mysql with the username and password in the script?

Nonono I misread, I was following the https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/ac-dash...stallation and got hung up on the "Either connect to your MySQL database (with sudo mysql -u root) and manually create the acore MySQL user by running:" and froze for a bit when I put an extra space on the - and the u that shouldn't have been there.

Still don't understand why its "Either connect to........" and then doesn't give a second option.

I ran the commands and am back on the path now.

hehe yeah the documentation can be a little spotty sometimes but all the information you need is there, it just takes a little bit of teasing to pull out what you need. Glad you're on the right track now.

Generally when you're stuck reading the error message is a pretty good place to start ❤️

You don't have to recompile for that, you just have to make sure to copy the correct libraries.
