I would say removing the build folder and do that all over again should've fixed it if the old version was in fact removed.

I'm pulled from git so i just reset hard to head, cleaned the make cache and rebuilt

Not that that version should fail anyway, because the #if you wrote just changes the define based on the version and not stopping you from using it.
