Quote: This was adapted on my initial edit which can be found on the forum under Dark Stormwind. It's quite far from finished, I thought I'd show you guys since there's always a good idea or two thrown around in a thread. The general idea is that The Black Dragonflight have dominated the Human race and their homeland. Converting Elwynn forest into Lava-Worn Forest and Stormwind City into Dark Stormwind. While the Dragonflight have moved south, the Dark Iron have moved north into Ironforge and formed a pack with the Black Dragonflight.
I was thinking of adapting this into an instance for private server. Though for now it's just being created on Live in the Azeroth Map.
Current Sub Zones in Lava-Worn Forest -
Ruins of Goldshire
Current Sub Zones in Dark Stormwind -
Darkened Valley (Valley of heroes)
Wyrm District (Trade District)
Armory (Old Town)
Abandoned Square (Cathedral Square)
Dark Iron Square (Dwarven District)
The Pit - Unedited (The Park)
Mage Quarter - Unedited
Available Screenshots UPDATED!
Yes, Stormwind still has that bloody Specmap issue. Since Stormwinds textures don't seem to have _s.blp files I'm a little lost with how to deal with it.
Current Editing Used
- CreatureDisplayInfo.DBC Edited to Swap Guard models with Wyrmkin
- CreatureCache.WDB Edited to rename NPC's.
- Global texture swap on textures used in Stormwind (Considering editing the WMO directly to only affect the textures in Stormwind)
- ADT Painting and WMO swapping.
- Skybox swap
- AreaTable.dbc edited to rename Zones
- WMOAreaTable.dbc edited to rename stormwind & Stormwind Sub zones.
- Texture file editing. (Darkened Statues and guard textures)
- Edited Faction.dbc to rename Stormwind faction and description to fit scenario.
- Edited CharTitle.dbc renaming Sergeant rank to Dark Sergeant.

Anyways, it is really amazing, and I would love to help out with this project, if needed. I tried turning IronForge into a Dark Iron city before, but I failed due to server problems, and my lack of good EMU skills, which has increased sense then.
Also I can't help but say, (being a lore head and all.) The Black Dragons would never make a pact with the Dark Irons. Ragnaros or Deathwing just wouldn't allow it. Or they might, only to later on double cross each other.
Either way, I can't wait to see the finish product and I'll be following the progress closely. Best of luck!
