This is the format of my login string:
127.0.0.1;3306;unixaccount_acore-auth;123ioujhOSA!aoisd#x;unixaccount_acore-auth
Having # in the password makes it try to login as "unixaccount"@"localhost" (and not unixaccount_acore-auth as it should) and also then its not using password
Just removing # from password makes it instantly try to login as correct user and with password.

Bit unlucky with my testing too, I have created the database users and passwords from scratch multiple times and I guess there has always been a character in passwords then that breaks it

aaand that also explains why it was using wrong socket for mysql at some point even I had it defined in config... wonder if that is the reason why the db assembler didn't work either.

okay, db assembler still doesnt work with new passwords but i guess that is fine if its deprecated anyways.
also, setting the unix socket in the login string does not work, had to create symlink.
and also, after running db assembler / import all (and it failing) there are now tables missing from db
but for a little while both authserver and worldserver were working, so I guess finally some progress with this

Autoupdater populated empty base for 5 minutes
db_assembler did it for 0:50 seconds
