other pc I mentioned pop os, I usually just run ./worldserver ./authserver in 2 seperate windows

I only know windows sorry. But Google should be able to answer how to fire up the mysql server on deb

I'm not sure exactly what's being asked. To run processes in the background you have to use a software like Screen, but for the database server you start the process - `systemctl start mysqld` or `systemctl start mariadb` which should be enabled and running by default.
