I mean in theory you could reset the git repository and then add the modules, that’s also a way to ensure you’ve got a “clean setup”. But if you didn’t change anything in the source code this should have no effect anyways

If you plan to run a server it makes sense to move the files to a separate folder, so you can always compile new versions for testing etc while the „main“ server is running for example
