I'm not forcing anyone to do anything, I'm merely stating that it's actually a lot more effort over time to do it the zip archive route.

Pretty much. As long as you make sure it's the Playerbot branch (which I linked) and not master.

Are there more modules that require doing that type of thing? That is, they step on the source with each other..

Not a lot of them, no. Playerbots and NPCBots are the only ones I know of myself but I don't use more than maybe.. 10-15 different modules between all my realms.

Come back if you have more issues. As MAEL mentioned, make sure the name of the playerbots modules folder is mod-playerbots and not mod-playerbots-master

Make sure to get all prerequisites and correct cmake solution. There is a video guide by Digital Scriptorium that i used to setup.

One question, perhaps a bit silly, should I create a new folder and start from scratch with that source or create it over the source that I already have?
