talent.dbc has a slot for 1 spell per talent level, so it teach's a meta that teach's other metas to allow them to get an effective 7(?) spell effects off the 1 talent point

so if i replace shadowcleave with my own meta that learns shadow cleave, demon bolt, and my demonic fury buff i should be golden

Kind of. effect #2 in that spell teaches you the usable spell, #3 teaches you just shadow cleave and #4 teaches you challenging howl, demon charge and immolation aura.

Probably. If #4 there only teaches you those spells when you activate it, adding spells to #2 or #3 won't be the same effect

its not tied to activation, you get them to put on your bar along with meta form
