even if its true its still something if u have 4GB of ram....on top of that im pretty sure AC uses more ram on windows than on linux

did u try in some recent time ? i mean i didnt i just remember discussion about this maybe 1 year ago where we found that with preloaded maps AC uses like 12GB on linux but few more GB on windows

Anyway, I don't think you should host an emulator on Linux with 4gb either, that's just dumb and not really related to the choice of OS. If you're deliberately gimping yourself then the OS argumentation isn't very relevant.
My whole point is, the elitism is sucky, and it makes less knowledgeable end users choose something that they're not comfortable with, and potentially end up configuring themselves into an actual insecure position. Having a preference and opinion is fine, but hosting on windows is also perfectly fine and perfectly normal for those who choose to do so.
