I don't want to run a repack with outdated dependencies and uncertain origins on my network. Furthermore, while I don't want anything specific, I want to be able to determine for myself the little that I do want exactly as I want it, especially when there's the possibility in the form of Azerothcore.

I mean I get the hate on repacks but for some peoples use case they really don't need to do all compile steps <

I personally prefer compiling but to each their own.

I understand the reasoning behind it but you are stuck with whatever someone distributes, not knowing if it contains trojans, can't update/modify or anything like that at all. No one should use repacks, frankly.

Save some time by downloading a repack and even more time by losing your email because of a keylogger so you can no longer read your emails - a lot of time saved.

Yeah I mean it just depends on your use case.
Personally I use it for my own project for Devs who don't really need core access nor will ever touch it and want a quick and simple way to have a local testing environment.

If **you** create one for them to use (people you know) that's one thing that I wouldn't determine as unsafe, but we're talking about people who download repacks from random people they don't know.

Yeah I can see that point. Not wrong on that.
