Changing config.wtf reserves no purpose so that's not the one. The first screenshot there appears to be correct so the only conclusion is that the user/pass is wrong.

The 2nd scenario, where you got the error message means that you are connecting to the authentication server but it's responding with an error code, telling you that the information you entered is invalid.

Also, setting the realm list address in the config file will do nothing, because it will get overwritten by whatever value is in the realmlist file in your Data folder.
