Yeah, it does. I tend to set the auto increment value only if I've deleted characters and want to make sure it doesn't skip a number. OCD and all, that's about it. It doesn't really matter but I understand the desire to have some order to it.

If you have no characters, setting auto increment to 1 is fine though.
