WAN IP as in your public IP on the internet. It doesn't start with 192.168.

I changed the authentication server back to the default port and it worked...

that allows me to join his server now, since no realms are in the realm selection area would that be a realmlist problem?

If the realmlist IP was wrong, you'd see yourself in a loop from realm selection screen to realm login and back

No realms showing at all should be a `realmlist` issue on the server side and should the same for anyone connecting to it.
