we've done some modifications to stack size and loot chances and stuff like that, and for example if there are any "new" items added to the database, I guess an "update" of SQL files from GitHub would just overwrite our changes to existing items?

I could just go through the files from our last update and check that nothing of "our" changes will be overwritten

You want to store every change you do as reapplyable query.

Never just run a query or change something.

Is there a chance that these squashes will ever impact the auth and the characters db? Just curious.
