I installed AC using the "classic" method (https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/install...ssic-setup). I'm looking a way to automate shutting the server down (safely) so I can backup my databases and install updates. I can't seem to find any information on doing a safe shutdown of the worldserver or authserver, other than manually entering entering the commands into the respective consoles. Any suggestions?

It depends on how you're starting it. I send a command to screen that inputs `server shutdown #` into the console and then waits for it to shut down (with a timeout, of course) before going through the steps

I'm launching the executables (authserver.exe and worldserver.exe) and those consoles remain open.

I don't know how you would do it with that

I mean, I don't know how to do it on windows - I don't think you can unless you use something like soap

Linux wins on this

Yeah yeah... Hopefully someone has done this before on Windows. I imagine automating maintenance is a common thing.

Most servers run under Linux, not Windows. I say most because I'm sure someone runs Windows but it's far more rare.
