<@163514614863101962> so its like all files are the original ones, the difference is only what the module author changed? So if the AzerothCore update something, that file will be updated automatically in this fork?

Or this is just a copy of an AC version, with custom changes?

the file wouldn't be updated automatically unless the fork owner has setup some automation to take care of that. but by default, it's a copy (fork) of the main repo at a particular point in time. then the repo can be updated (or not) to keep pace with the original repo (origin).

not errors, just less-updated than main. i can't speak for that forked project directly, you'd have to look at how dated it is or talk to the maintainer to understand how updated you should expect to be.

are there changes between AC today and 3 weeks ago? yes, absolutely. are you going to notice them on a server you're not doing development on directly? eeeehhhh, maybe, but also probably not.

using the fork lets you let someone else worry about integrating PlayerBots into core, which is nice. but you're at the mercy of how often and how well they choose to update the fork.

Those are just the shortcuts, not the actual database server. I don't know why you thought copying, or moving, the shortcuts created by the installation would be the entire server though.
