Let's say hypothetically I royally screwed up switching to the Azerothcore NPCbots fork and due to having constant database issues I dropped it to do a new build and database entirely, at what stage would I try to restore my backup database? Prior to running auth/world servers with a new build or after?

personally I'd do it before running auth/world the first time. assuming that your backup is done in such a way that it will recreate all the data anyways, that would bring you back to your snapshot.

Yeah that makes sense, thanks! Yeah for some reason when trying to incorporate the npcbots, I kept running into errors running worldserver with tables not existing, but I think that is because I accidentally tried to manually run some of the new SQL rather than letting worldserver do it's thing from the get-go
