It works the way you want it to. What the mod does, is to recognize the bodies you have nearby, and remove the items from all the bodies, along with the gold. Whether you have automatic stripping or not, it doesn't change. The difference is that with automatic stripping, you don't get to open the bag to see what's inside, just that.
