I tried logging in with wrong password just to test and it gave me "wrong password" so it is indeed connected correctly to the db

I have used enGB for at least a decade, and I have never had a crash related to the locale of the client. There's virtually no difference at all when you compare the binaries

it's just that the client is not allowed to connect to AzerothCore for some reason. Just doesn't recognize the server as a legitimate 3.3.5, wierd as hell

I never dived that deep, but we had bugs related to game data files happen reliably only with enGB.
