I have compiled on Debian 11, installing the dependencies listed in the wiki without problems. The thing is, for the wiki to be up to date, someone has to update it and if someone wants to help with that, the wiki is just markdown files, so helping to modify it and keep it up to date is not difficult at all. But someone has to do it.
