Actually it's still considered model editing. You're still swapping files in some manner. Even if it doesn't require a 3rd party program to run (WoWME) it can still get you banned. It may not be as severe as say BG hacking, and I doubt anyone would go through the trouble of reporting you for it, but there's still a possibility.
