You could
- add 1 amount of an item in loot mode 1.
- add 1 amount of an item in loot mode 2
- add 1 amount of an item in loot mode 4
...
If you want it to drop 3 items, just set the lootmode to 7.

btw about bitmask....if i set 3 it drops 1 and 2 right ? but what about numbers like 5 ? is it 2+3 which would be 1+2 ? or 1+4 ? etc

Basically take the highest along number and subtract it and continue until you get 0
