There are many situations where you have to perform maintenance on power grids, there's reasons UPS' and generators exist If you end up in a situation that this maintenance is extended or something goes wrong, you shouldn't find yourself in a situation that power loss leads to actual long term damage. This is standard risk assessment and crisis planning
