Yep, though worth pointing out you can run them side-by-side, just gotta point them to different DBs (which they should by default anyway)

Well someone from the community helped me compile the whole thing the first time ( which was amazing of them to do ) so would definitely be a struggle either way but at least I could leave one server running/working while I try haha

I'm not sure which installation method you used. My server was old enough to use the classic method, and this page covers the Bash setup which I used to update: https://www.azerothcore.org/wiki/ac-dash...stallation
Read through that. Specifically the 'How to update your server' section. Since my databases were out of sync, instead of 'git pull' I had to run 'git checkout <git commit id>'. The commit IDs being the long strings I posted above. So to update from v4 to v5, you would need 'git checkout a689775891baad5ee39de1611d27d44f2c6a3ff5'. Each one needs to be applied in sequence or you may miss important updates.
