I'm not seeing anything there. The closed issues suggest this wasn't an issue a few years ago.

Digging through the SQL, I'm not seeing that the gossip option on the pumpkin actually does anything.

The quest itself does seem to call the script mentioned in the hallows end code, however that code doesn't seem to be doing anything. Unfortunately I don't know enough C to be able to identify why its not doing anything.

I am running SoloLFD, so its entirely possible the script is expecting 5 people?

I don't know if it's just you trying to do it solo or not but it did work for me. I used one of my 5-man teams and the quest summoned the boss. I'm going to try without the quest now to see if that also works.
