`git reset --hard origin/master` would reset it to what master has, in case you need it in the future. Of course, unless you stash the changes you need to save the files as you've already done.

ya, so does jsut deleting the editied files after ive backed them up as my non-existant file is different from the server and it remakes it

doesnt matter when you do it in relation to the compile, sql doesnt matter till you try to launch the server

Theres a step in the instructions to run a sql script. This creates the User and the databases the apps need.
Beyond performing that step the rest is taken care of by the WorldServer when it first runs
