Really sorry man. But in the end you only had about a 50 / 50 chance of recovering and it would have taken hours or days to find out.

Ah no stress, it's a good thing to learn now that I should do a snapshot for every update I'm making instead of only a few times per month

It's kinda a roll back of several days, but it's better than nothing, anyway the server wasn't really open officially, we have like 8-9 players in total so no big deal

mysql is Super Touchy at times. It can do a lot and its free. But the difference between mysql and the expensive databases is you got to treat it right or it drops you and does its own thing

i havent touched the mysql part of this site: https://ppnews.eu in like 4 years
you can see by the design that it aged so poorly that i dotn dare touch it if it runs
