Quote:Well altho I said I take a break, there was 1 pending model that I still need to finish, and since Im updated with some knowledge today, I finally know how to handle it and applied the final touch on it. Here's the image:
My wing shoulders ^^ I pended it long long overtime due the fact that I didn't knew how to apply the transparency on it, until now. Ow and fixed btw my zamber form blade, tell me what you guys think bout it and then I will post the .MPQ if everything is sorted out.
And again, I know that Im not the texture perfectionist, so texture is a bit messed up. Planning to fix that...maybe...if I ever want to read PS tutorials XD.

Quote: so you exported the warlock wings put them on some sholders and retextured them good job and like you sayed the texture is abit crapy for transparentsy can't you mod it like in 3ds max or i'm just writing crap now
for transparensy why don't you get a non color background copy the textures set the texture opacity to like 60% and merge the layers then do what you want with it

Quote:Meh that's the thing. The model itself needs to know it must be transparent, I setted the transparency of the model on 0, 0 = total transparent, BUT, the texture won't be transparent alone but also the whole model. So in this case, I just make the model in 3DS, exported it, and let it know by itself that it needs to know that it must be transparent, not changing the opacity of the model etc.
Like I put it this way, it's not the model that must decide the transparency, but the texture. The texture decides the outcome, and the model is the structure. If it means changing the opacity, that means changing the transparency of the model, which I don't need. I only need that the model itself must know that it must be transparent. Then I can add a transparency texture on it without trouble.
And ty for comment, hopefully it's understandable.

Quote:If I do that, then the whole texture is gonna be transparent, but I only need a part of the texture to be transparent.

Quote: Texture looks low quaility... But i think that is unavoidable since we are making our own ^^

Quote: I don´t know if it works with wow but you can try to uv-map the wings and then apply different textures to different places of the uv-map.
That should make you able to make only parts transparent.
