still the same problem. Even disabling the firewall on the server doesn't work

restarting worldserver shouldn't change anything about it not connecting but doesn't hurt to be on the safe side

never ran it on a vm before so not that much of a clue now, ik some vm software lets you mess with the networking stuff for it so might be worth taking a look at that and fiddling around with it
