Everything else seems to be right, and if there were that wouldn't explain why the server requests 5 for crafting while consuming 4.

Perhaps it says 4 because it's 4 on top of the item that uses the spell?

Good point. The item database lists charges as -1 so I don't know why it's not consuming it.

My copy of aowow says the same thing and it does use 5 scraps each time I combine them
