well you gave me the idea and simply changing the text in worldserver.conf.dist did the trick

I would advice against changing the values in the .dist, you should never do that. Copying the text over to the regular .conf and changing it there is what you should do.

Dist is afaik basically a fallback in case there's options missing in the .conf or if the file itself is missing.
