So are mine but I prefer to be safe. It keeps like 800 of them locally and about 168 gets uploaded to google drive (30 days locally and 7 days drive)

Yeah, as a backup of the backup. Should the raid fail or one of the drives die and it be unable to properly recover - I have those for that

well, i dont say i dont trust them but i would not put backups there

i got my raid here too but i use it mostly just for manual backups, and extra usb but something rly important

I used to use the local disk and an external one but I was getting tired of linux being unable to put the external drive to sleep between backups and just running for no real reason
