Saying it's the same is like saying modules is like editing AC. Addons work the same say, using API exposed by the client.

Yes, and still in my mind making a module IS customizing AC. Just not editing directly its internal code, but editing it peripherally, you still modify the final bundle.

Then, it a difference bitween client editing and modding. But still, adding files to the external (API) OR internal structure of the game client as a software I'll call that client editing. Modding is client editing, but only for "internal" part (not API).

Well, my editing the client is clearly meant as modifying the data files of the client. That's the real difference, we understand it in different ways which is fine and that's where the problem was for me.
