Regardless, I agree separate unit tests are desirable. I gave that a shot years ago in Lua, but it was abandoned rather quickly.

I would say it's the only way (but not for every class). Most class dependencies should be abstract, and we should be able to inject a mock implementation. Otherwise, you can't fully test the unit if such dependencies exist. However, I don't like the idea of having huge interfaces like IWorld, it should be split into several smaller interfaces.
