maybe it would do nothing or maybe it would break i dont know....what are u looking at there is feature of build tool but by itself that doesnt do anything program (in this case AC) needs to be prepared for that case and work with it and it doesnt

maybe it would work in sense that script wouldnt get compiled but there is no way to compile scripts on their own into dll

and changing script recompiles only that script not entire core so its nearly same time

Even if you change stuff in the core it's the same deal as long as you don't mess around with headers used in a lot of files.

compiling the scripts as dynamic vs static libraries doesn't really matter much other than debugging dynamic libraries sucks compared to static built in libraries. You either replace the dll or you replace the exe, since you can't dynamically reload the script lib on AC (as far as I know) then you still have to restart
