also let me warn you, if you think of refactoring it. Break it down to small pieces, because if you open a PR with a million changed lines I for sure wont even open it

Very much this, especially large changes (even refactors) are hard to regression test too

Yeah but you have to keep in mind that the website is the first thing people will see apart from maybe the GitHub.
