eluna is hard-coded in the "prod" containers created by the Dockerfile in the main repo. it can be confusing because this file is huge and has a lot going on.

the prod images are the ones that are referenced by acore-docker, but they're also a part of the main repo

I'm not a docker user at all, I'm just speaking from memory when i was talking to the docker maintainers. And that memory said Azerothcore-wotlk is pure and acore-docker is pre-compiled with mods.
Good thing I'm up to date now.
However, eluna doesn't hurt to have. It's a very convenient tool for simple on the fly scripts. And powerful enough to skip most C++ work as well.
