You could just change the port from 8085 to something random and uncommon and update the realmlist and port forwarding to reflect this and it could help

If 8085 is a port they target specifically then yes, maybe that reduces it.

The same goes for any common port, it's what people use to scan for. Forwarding port 22 will get your SSH server hammered, changing that to another port (say 44) will not because it's not common use.
