yeh might want to use MWC (my Warcraft Studio)
It allows you to edit .MPQ's easially

Regarding the mage armor edit, yes the effect persists as long as you have mage armor on. If you can't switch arcane brilliance to shadowform try to switch it with Cloak of Shaodw (31224) it has the same effect. Or try to switch shadowform with arcane intellect (single buff). It might be because it's a group buff so it won't trigger the shadowform animation.
